I like to travel a lot,
go to places I've never been.
I'm a very sentimental person,
I treasure things so much.

I don't know much about
blogging even though
I have a friendster blog
(it's still different here),
so bare with me. I'm open
to suggestions/comments/critiques
concerning this page,
just tell me how to improve it ok.
thanks!

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.

I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.

I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.

I've learned that it's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.

I've learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better know something.

I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do but to the best you can do.

I've learned that it's not what happens to people that's important. It's what they do about it.

I've learned that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides.

I've learned that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I've learned that it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.

I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.

I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I've learned that learning to forgive takes practice.

I've learned that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it.

I've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.

I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learned that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.

I've learned that your family won't always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological.

I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned that sometimes when my friends fight, I'm forced to choose sides even when I don't want to.

I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I've learned that sometimes you have to put the individual ahead of their actions.

I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I've learned that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.

I've learned that there are many ways of falling and staying in love.

I've learned that no matter the consequences, those who are honest with themselves get farther in life.

I've learned that no matter how many friends you have, if you are their pillar you will feel lonely and lost at the times you need them most.

I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

I've learned that writing, as well as talking, can ease emotional pains.

I've learned that the paradigm we live in is not all that is offered to us.

I've learned that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon.

I've learned that although the word "love" can have many different meanings; it loses value when overly used.

I've learned that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings, and standing up for what you believe.

Air Trip to Road Trip...

Grabe na to’!

For this year, so far this month is the most expensive month for me… my expenses is reaching the maximum level.. wehehe! Ang gastos… @#$(@$(%#$%^*

For a week we were in palawan.. last weekend (march 18 and 19) we were in Tacloban City, Leyte to attend a baptism.. sowsy!

At lest, I was able to try cebu pacific airlines… before landing, may pakana ang mga stewardess duon..  they have this game of speed… the prices will be shirts of cebu pacific… pero sa mga hindi nanalo may mga for sale na souvenirs if you want to buy…

(charot!)

My cousin Bing and her husband kuya Guilbert, toured us to some tourist spots in leyte.. pero syempre dahil gahol sa oras mabilisan lang… picture dito picture duon….

We had the first flight to tacloban, upon arrival… we went straight to their house in beriso heights…

Oks din yung hows. Tama lang for a small family. Nagpaextend sila ng 2 rooms kaya medyo maluwang… sa may bungad lang sila ng subdivision kaya hindi mahirap hanapin… they had this dog named Tinkerbelle… hehe! She is a small, cute and slim dog… wala nga lang syang buntot… hehe!

We went to San Juanico Bridge, but we did not stay for long because the baptism is scheduled at 11:00 am. We stopped by at Hotel Alejandro, where pictures of world war II were displayed.. old type writer, rocking chair… plans… representation os the boats, and vehicles used during the world war II era. After the baptism, we went to the place where Gen. Mc Arthur’s statue together with 4 more men were standing, near the sea…

In the evening, we went to Body and Soul… the three had their body massage and I had my foot spa… I would have had my body massage if I didn’t have my monthly visit… they did the foot spa differently… my first time was here in manila – SM north at let’s face it… what they did was just to clean and scrub my feet… a little massage on my legs and toes… I liked the peppermint though... haha! but in Body and Soul, when you have your foot spa, while your feet is being soaked, the attendant will massage your arms, hands…. Then go clean and massage your feet , toes and legs…. He used at least 3 kinds of scrubbing materials… after rinsing, he put lotion.. Massaged again, and finally the foot mask… while waiting for the mask to dry, you’ll be massaged on the head, face, neck and a little at your back…. Sarap ng feeling! The attendant was a guy… he’s kinda cute.. he talks to me while doing his job… I find him a bit charming... charot!

My feet was relaxed after… for dinner, we ate at “filindian” restaurant. It was they’re 2nd year anniversary that night and they had free champagnes for customers… the foods are spicy… I liked their calamari and kilawen (fish – bangus).

Before leaving for manila. We had a chance to go back to San Juanico Bridge for pictures… at least, I reached theboundary of Leyte and Sama…. Kung hindi lang kami kulang sa oras.. we might have gone to samara – ormoc- and cebu…. (maybe next time… sana meron pang next time.. hehe)

Sarado naman ang souvenir shop kaya wala na akong nabili… sa tabi2 nalang, we bought some kakanin… and pastillas…

We also visited the ---resort, capitol, and there is this place (I forgot the name), a white building, there we’re statues of lions on the side and canons in the middle… under the flagpole stands lapu-lapu and 3 other men.

We ate lunch at Jollibee… dip ala honored ang “buhay Jollibee card” doon.. hehe.. sensya na po… ay, wala palang SM dun sa tacloban.. pero there are plans  daw of building a SM Mall and a Robinson’s Mall.

I enjoyed my stay there… kahit short time lang… I hope when Auntie Fe comes home for a visit, we’ll go there and we'll be able to go to ormos, samar cebu then fly to zamboanga.. nyahahaha!

a week in palawan

at last! i was able to experience how to ride an airplane... on March 9, we went to Puerto Princesa, Palawan. our flight was 8:00 am, flight 195, Philippine Airlines. we were seated in the middle. th eplane is big enough that in one line there are 7-8 seats... i was able to exchange seats with the passenger near the window.. hehe..Wink

now i know how it feels when the plane prepares for take off... for landing.. when it is in the air--flying... Big Smile when you look outside, you can see the islets, the houses/building.. they look so small.. haha!

we stayed at simpucan/simpocan.... my aunt's hows is not yet finished, but the architech made a nipa hut (like those in beach resorts) for us to stay... we slept on the floor.. though aunt annie and uncle mick had a thick cushion for their backs... we on the other hand have our "banigs" and "kartons" haha.. just to support us and comfort us from the cold...

in the morning, we walk on the sea shore, pick up some shells... or go swimming... the location was fronting the beach.. teh water is so clear... the sand is white... and you can enjoy watching the horizon (during sunset/sunrise)

in the morning... it's low tide.. so you can see the corals..., sea weeds floating.... step on the corals and you'll feel like jumping on islands... haha!

one day, while on the water, we saw a school of fish.. they were swimming on circles.. the next day, we saw a group of fishes about a meduim size of "bangus" or milk fish swimming.... i wonder... are those the same fishes we saw yesterday?! haha!

in puerto princesa, ther's this mall named NCCC... it's like their SM, if you buy tehre, be sure to let the checkers make a receipt before going to the counters... if you have a discount better.. but the only thing that bothers us there is that there would at least be 3-4 checkers.. checkign the same recipt.. sus! it's a waste of time.. and their baggers.. they're slow... i think the management does not want to recycle their plastics, boxes and ropes.. when they give you what you purchased, the plastics are sealed you have to destroy it, the ropes are tied you have to cut it...

i was able to visit the crocodile farm.. there's a crocodile without a tail... there's this very big one... and i was able to hold a 3 months old crocodile....

the baker's hill wherein theres homer and marge (ostrich couple, marge has 2 eggs)

the mitra where in el nido and cullion is over looking...

we also had buko everday... buko juice, buko slad, bukayo.. haaay.. magsawa ka sa buko...

i even tried to get one... but i was not able to reach the top of the tree hehe... afraid eh...

basta, all i can say, i enjoyed my vacation, even if i knew i had things to do here in manila.. and my boss is nagging me.. harhar! i'm glad he doesn't know i had a fon (i lost my old one in a jeepney along quezon ave.. i was hodapped.... so sad and terrifying...) and that there's no means of commnuication on that site..

ok. i've got to go.. i'll just post some pictures next time...

yesterday:

         tired of the work

tired from walking from north to south... wahahaha!

today:

i feel sleepy.. ( we slept at 1:30 in the morning..) huhu!

back to back to back

aga ko nag-time in, so hopefully aga ako mag-out mamaya... (i doubt)

(bigat, in fairness!)

...my fiRst timeS...

hey there! want to know what i've been up to for the past 2 weeks? hehe

wala kami kasi internet for the past weeks nag-down and server namin...

i slept in the hospital for 4 nights to look after my cousin who was confined from november 21(early morning) to 26 (afternoon). in the hospital, it seems like where just at home.. haha! we played scrabble, watched movies on the laptop... we even slept in our pajamas as and felt as if we're just in our room. i go out and get something to eat, we don't like the foods being served in the hospital.. (i don't know...) hehe..

i didn't go to work for 4 days... oh! i did! i just went to the office to make a travel order for my boss.. haha! nakisali na rin ako.. para hindi lumabas na absent yung mga araw na yun...

anyway, here's somthing i've done the past days...

November 26

i woke up early... as in around 4:30 am to take a bath (in the hospital..hehe) para hindi pa gising mga pipol... ang lamig! dahil sa kalakasan na rin ng aircon sa buong building...

then, i left and went to the airport to fetch my aunt whom is coming from London... and guess what... it's my first time to go to the airport all by myself.. aha... i was used to go there but with a private vehicle and with my mom/sisters...

her arrival was 7:30am... because i was eager to be early and afraid to be lost, i travelled early.. i took the mrt till' taft and rode in an airconditioned bus going to MIA. i dropped in front of the big building, i went straight to the entrance not knowing that the arrival and departure has different entrances hehe... (sensya na po!)

finally i reached the waiting area (and familiar yung parking lot.. hehe yun lang naaalala ko eh) i was there 6:30am... SSOOOO EARLY! I was just happy to get there safely... i waited for the plane, watched the screen ate eggnog... then ALAS! tehre she is.. walking down with her cart...

we headed to mabini (as usual.. favorite place to look for a hotel...) hay naku! walang vacant! it's because of the participants in the 23rd sea games... (CONGRATS PHILIPPINE ATHLETES!) fully book mga hotels... and to think ha, daming hotels sa lugar na yun... oh well, we wereable to have a room.. pero regular lang... but it's ok...

until now, we're staying there... i'm calling every hotel for a vacancy pero wala pa... hopefully meron sa copacobana or sa tropical this afternoon....

I also had my first pedicure done on this day.. huhu! painful in a way, but my nails looked better.. hehe...

we went to quiapo and looked for pearls and materials to be used in making bracelets, earring and necklaces.. my aunt got excited and we just spent the whole afternoon walking...

November 27

my mom and sister came, we attended mass at malate church. ate our brunch at Aristocrat, we spent almost 1 and 1/2 hours there.. eating and chatting... haha! we couldn't think of a place to go, that day was not planned...

so we walked (bay walk, in the middle of the afternoon.. hay kainit! kapraning!) an icecream man came along, the one we had during our elementary days. it has only 5 flavors, but the cones are now upgraded.. sweet cones na.. yung matigas.. we ate until we decided to go to divisoria... we passed by US embassy... and finally took a cab.

here's the thing, 10 mins after getting into the cab, the driver told us his meter is not working, we should go look for another cab... he stopped infront of the stoplight and when the door swung open, a foreigner came waiting for us to get out, we told him not to take the cab.. hehe.. kasi nga destroyed and metro diba....

but then the driver is willing to take the passenger.. but good for the man not to get in... we all waited for another cab. praning yung driver! kala siguro nun maiisahan nya kami at yung kano... pasenyas senyas pa sya... praning!

wala kami masyado nabili kasi wala lang.. hehe

ako, napabili tuloy ng pajama.. kasi wala na akong extra clothes... i wasn't expecting to stay with them for 3 days...( and more) so hayun, better buy something to wear at night, just to be comfortable...

in the evening, we again walked in bay walk, there are lots of people... we decided to eat at the same resto where we ate our brunch.. good for us we arrived at the resto on time... it rained and all those eating outside run and looked for a shade..

inside the resto, we were chilling... (lalo na ako.. i was on skirt and got no jacket..... i used my sandals and no weay to warm my feet.... kaloka!

November 28

i had my first mad pack.... si mama kasi pasimuno! hayun kaming apat itim ng mukha... ewan ko kung ano klase yung nilagay nya s amukha namin... pero i don't like the smell of it... pag tuyo na, ngeks! fil mo yung binabanat yung skin mo. after nun ewan ko kung ano yung effect... hehe (igno nho!)

in the early evening, we went to quiapo (again..) to buy materials (again..) then we had dinner in Ongpin Street. we were walking trying to look for a new place to eat. we entered a chinese restaurant (i think...) coz the name sounds like chenez...

we had Shabu - shabu.. hehe... i was wondering what shabu-shabu means... then we sat on a table with a hole in the middle.. hayun, the hole was a gas range.. then  the waitress places somthing where we can grill and cook something with soup.. from that, i knew then that we're going to cook our own food.. and i'ts correct... they gave us raw foods.. the fish, the balls, tofu's, vegetables, seasoning....

we cooked, grilled with margarine and it tastes really good... the manager, she's really kind and accomodating... she comes to our table every now and then to check if we need anything, or if we're enjoying.. blah-blah-blah.. chika-chika...

whew! we even had bon jovi in the background... there was an LCD where we watched bonjovi's concert... his rock songs were changed to slow rock and i liked the way he performed the slow rock...

when we reached the hotel, hayun, shower tapos nood tv tapos hala.. inumpisahan na magexperiment... i made a bracelet and i admit it.. i copied the design i saw in the shop where we bought the materials.. hehe...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ok, so that's a little recap... today, i got out of the hotel early.. mga 7:20am.. (early ba yun!) then, back to the same routine... paper...paper..paer...work... this week, it's gonna be a busy week AGAIN.... getting used to it anyway...

hhhmmm.... i hope we'll go to cebu/palawan/tacloban... kahit sabit lang.. haha!

help...

i dunno what's wrong with the PC... the MS-DOS prompt will just open and something will be encoded then a notepad/paint/calculator will b opened... (without my permission and i am not using the ms dos) then sometimes, a pop up will appear in the top of the screen saying "warning your PC is under attack.." something like this.. then when i close it a message box appears telling me it won't stop the problem.... what!? the hell is going on... may virus na ba PC ko? huhu

anyway, i went to ortigas yesterday with my mon. and to my surprise, the train wigles bbetween santolan staion and ortigas station.. which freaks my mom out.. it bother's a lot of passengers.. and it's really uncomfortable... you feel ike the train will lose it's control (oh.. the driver, i may say..)

i'm having problems making project proposals and resolutions... aaarrrggghhh! but i should learn how to do it? (right... it's part of the job)

ei, i made a necklace. i bought my materials from soda beads... i copied a design i liked in the store.. but the sales lady won't teach me how to do the knot.. so i made my own knot.. haha! it turn out pretty well.. i just finished it 10 mins ago... and i'm happily using it.. cute sya.. hehe...
