at last! i was able to experience how to ride an airplane... on March 9, we went to Puerto Princesa, Palawan. our flight was 8:00 am, flight 195, Philippine Airlines. we were seated in the middle. th eplane is big enough that in one line there are 7-8 seats... i was able to exchange seats with the passenger near the window.. hehe.. now i know how it feels when the plane prepares for take off... for landing.. when it is in the air--flying... we stayed at simpucan/simpocan.... my aunt's hows is not yet finished, but the architech made a nipa hut (like those in beach resorts) for us to stay... we slept on the floor.. though aunt annie and uncle mick had a thick cushion for their backs... we on the other hand have our "banigs" and "kartons" haha.. just to support us and comfort us from the cold... in the morning, we walk on the sea shore, pick up some shells... or go swimming... the location was fronting the beach.. teh water is so clear... the sand is white... and you can enjoy watching the horizon (during sunset/sunrise) in the morning... it's low tide.. so you can see the corals..., sea weeds floating.... step on the corals and you'll feel like jumping on islands... haha! one day, while on the water, we saw a school of fish.. they were swimming on circles.. the next day, we saw a group of fishes about a meduim size of "bangus" or milk fish swimming.... i wonder... are those the same fishes we saw yesterday?! haha! in puerto princesa, ther's this mall named NCCC... it's like their SM, if you buy tehre, be sure to let the checkers make a receipt before going to the counters... if you have a discount better.. but the only thing that bothers us there is that there would at least be 3-4 checkers.. checkign the same recipt.. sus! it's a waste of time.. and their baggers.. they're slow... i think the management does not want to recycle their plastics, boxes and ropes.. when they give you what you purchased, the plastics are sealed you have to destroy it, the ropes are tied you have to cut it... i was able to visit the crocodile farm.. there's a crocodile without a tail... there's this very big one... and i was able to hold a 3 months old crocodile.... the baker's hill wherein theres homer and marge (ostrich couple, marge has 2 eggs) the mitra where in el nido and cullion is over looking... we also had buko everday... buko juice, buko slad, bukayo.. haaay.. magsawa ka sa buko... i even tried to get one... but i was not able to reach the top of the tree hehe... afraid eh... basta, all i can say, i enjoyed my vacation, even if i knew i had things to do here in manila.. and my boss is nagging me.. harhar! i'm glad he doesn't know i had a fon (i lost my old one in a jeepney along quezon ave.. i was hodapped.... so sad and terrifying...) and that there's no means of commnuication on that site.. ok. i've got to go.. i'll just post some pictures next time... |
